Listography – April Goals

It’s Listography time again over at Kate Takes 5 and this week we are setting our Top 5 Goals for April.

April is one of my favourite months.

It is the month that the sun starts shining again; the month when the evenings start to get lighter; the month that the Greek God(zilla) and I got married; the month we always switch from red wine to chilled rosé and the month with TWO 4-day work weeks.

Really, what is there not to like about April…?

Here are my top 5 goals for this month, in no particular order:


1. Potty Training.
The Greek God(zilla) and I have both taken next week off work to crack this potty training malarkey once and for all.   We hope to have the toddler dry by Greek Easter Sunday (April 15th).

And, if he isn’t, then we will just have to leave it in the more capable hands of his nursery…

2. Lose 10lbs.
I started the 4-Hour Body plan last Monday and lost 4lb in the first week.

Apparently you can lose up to 20lb in 30-days but I’ll settle for 10.

I have a love/hate relationship with fad diets but am definitely in the first throes of love with the 4-Hour Body plan at the moment.

3. Celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary.
Yes we had a baby before we got married, SHOCK HORROR.

But this month we have been married for 2 whole years.   It has been brilliant and hilarious and completely exasperating at times, but I’d do it over and over and over again.

4. Celebrate Greek Easter without making a complete show of myself.
Last year, I crash tackled the Greek God(zilla) to the floor as he dived head first over the sofa (see main pic).

The year before I was off the hook a little bit because BB got so rat arsed on white wine.

Previous years have included losing BB on the roof, collapsed tarpaulin and America’s Next Top Model style photo shoots in the garden.

5. Remember my sister’s birthday
It’s on the 28th.  Must remember.  Must bake cake.  Must invite over for lunch/dinner.   It’s on the 28th.  Must remember.  Must bake cake.  Must invite over for lunch/dinner.  It’s on the 28th.  Must remember.  Must bake cake.  Must invite over for lunch/dinner.   It’s on the 28th.  Must remember.  Must bake cake.  Must invite over for lunch/dinner.  It’s on the 28th.  Must remember.  Must bake cake.  Must invite over for lunch/dinner.   It’s on the 28th.  Must remember.  Must bake cake.  Must invite over for lunch/dinner.   It’s on the 28th.  Must remember.  Must bake cake.  Must invite over for lunch/dinner.

    Hi Claire and Sarah! Do check out the 4-Hour Body. I find breakfast a bit of a struggle but the rest of it is easy peasy. Red wine is allowed and you get one day off a week to eat WHATEVER YOU WANT AND AS MUCH AS YOU WANT.
    Was recommended to me by Alice Harold at More Than Toast – she blogs about it a bit too 🙂

    Love the list – except it’s reminded me of some glaring omissions from my own. Most importantly potty training. Am impressed by your commitment to the process and looking forward to finding out how it goes for you.

    Awesome list. Happy Greek Easter. We’re embarking on potty training now too-health visitor said we should just let me run free and wee and poo on the carpet. He actually sat on the bog today. Woohoo! We also got married in April. Just to say, I love your blog muchly-it always makes me smile x
