That Sinking Feeling

The most important thing is not to panic.

This has happened before.

It was not the end of the world then, and it will not be the end of the world now.

DO NOT PANIC.

*panics*

It can be sorted.  There is always a solution.

Must not do anything drastic.

I know this has been a massive shock to the system, but it is better to stay calm and think things through rationally.

You do only have yourself to blame, but there is no point in beating yourself up about it now.

What is done, is done.  These things happen.  It is a difficult time of year for many.

So, take a deep breath.

You will get through this.

Nobody is judging you.  Well, maybe just a little bit.

But, it does not matter.

What is important is now.  TODAY.

And anyway, even if you could, would you really do anything differently?

Drink less wine, eat less chocolate, drink less wine?

All to avoid that sinking feeling when you step on the scales and realise that you are the heaviest you have EVER been.

    I hear you!!

    For me it was September, getting on the scales and realising I weighed more than I did when I was 9 months pregnant!

    It’s slowly, very slowly starting to come off. I work my arse off at the gym but I just love my food too much!

    I’m refusing to weigh myself – I vowed when I lost my baby weight after having C (thank you breastfeeding diet) that I would not let it creep back on again, yet here I am, post Xmas, barely able to squeeze into my fat jeans. I’m trying the 5:2 diet & cursing the fact I can’t do the breastfeed diet forever. Not fair.

    I’m so with you. I have avoided the scales. But take heart, it’s only the beiging of January, it’ll fall off, *she says munching on another choccy biscuit*. Happy New Year lovely. X

    Dr weighed me last week. “Ah the same as May 2006, great!’ ‘I was heavily pregnant then.’
