Stayin’ Alive

Stayin’ Alive

Do you remember the brilliant British Heart Foundation TV commercial where Vinnie Jones performs hands-only CPR to the beat of Stayin’ Alive?

Well, thanks to Vinnie, 28 lives have been saved because someone saw that ad and remembered what to do!

You can meet the people whose lives have already been saved by Hands-Only CPR here.

Now, The British Heart Foundation wants every child over the age of 10 to learn CPR and are campaigning to make this a mandatory part of the curriculum so every child leaves school knowing how to save a life.

A petition with over 100,000 signatures has already been handed into Downing Street, but they still need your help to persuade decision makers that Emergency Life Support (ELS) skills should be as important as learning to read or write.

The training film below is being sent out to every school and it’s going down a storm, BUT there are hundreds and thousands of junior football teams, Scout groups, after-school clubs etc. that they still need to reach.

If you have kids over the age of 10, show them this film.  If they like it, then ask them to share it with their mates.

Seriously,  Hands-Only ain’t as hard as it looks… at any age.
