Grenglish, or Greeklish, as it is sometimes known, is when the Greek language is written with the latin alphabet, for example when Καλημέρα (good morning) is written as Kalimera.
I thought this was a good name for my blog as an English woman, married into a Greek family (living in SW20) and raising a Greek/English son in London.
Inspired by the brilliant blogs from my friends – St.Murphy and Lady Sadie’s Emporium and with a gentle push & a bit of technical help from The PR Geek, here I am and although I cannot hope to be as funny or as brilliant as St Murphy and Lady Sadie, I am hoping that my attempt at blogging is not completely cringe worthy… and if it is, please close it down and just pretend you never saw it!
So, for those of you still with me, Grenglish is a blog about me and my daily juggling act as a wife, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, niece, cousin, granddaughter, godmother (to-be!), friend and full time employee.
