Could I really be… America’s Next Top Model?!

I was catching up on this week’s episode of America’s Next Top Model with Zachy earlier today.  He likes it when the models get to pose with tigers, which they did last week, but this week they had to get semi-naked and roll around in mud instead.

An episode the Greek God(zilla) might enjoy to watch perhaps… but not one for my 2-year-old.

So, I distracted him with a Lego tower build of Grand Design proportions and fast forwarded to the final showdown bit, where you get to see the final photos and the judges deliberate over which model to send home.  Usually, the one they have shown to be over-confident/homesick/bullied/bullying throughout the task.

This week they spilt the girls into two groups, the blondes vs. the brunettes, and this was the final group shot for the brunettes.

To which Zachy, my adorable little boy, looked up from his intricate Lego build to point at the screen and say “MUMMY!”

I’m not sure if he was referring to the fact that they are covered in mud, in their underwear, or lying down… (probably just that they all have brown hair) but I’ll take whatever I can get.

Has anyone made your day today?

Oh I’m sure he meant … *cough* … you were better looking than all of them put together 🙂

When we watched it, I shouted out, “Where’s the red head??? They need a red head!!”

Spookily, Tyra rang me the next day.

I thought the same thing – where’s the redhead?! There is always a redhead. Could Tyra tell if you were smizing down the phone?

Of course he meant you should be in the show! Lovely post! Made me smile! Kids say the best things. Sometimes. My eldest asked if there was another baby in my tummy the other day. Sadly there’s not! Not sadly because I want to have another baby. Sadly because I haven’t lost the weight after having the last one!

Urgh, I’m with you on that one. I am actually heavier now than I was this time last year when I had lost the baby weight and then pigged out on crisps and wine and chocolate hobnobs… need to do something about it really. Maybe tomorrow…
      xx
