Blogger’s Block

I can’t think of anything to write about this week.  I’ve been sitting here for ages, well since In the Night Garden came on, trying to think of one tiny little anecdote to tell you that wasn’t about:

a. My tongue burn (still not healed, leading me to re-think my original diagnosis… Also, word of warning – do not EVER google tongue burn images)

b. Cybermummy

c. Eastenders

I was going to tell you about:

a. My totally AMARZING delivery of Lego DUPLO that I won in a competition at Cybermummy (but… see above)

b. My totally AMAZEBALLS Swag bag win on Twitter from In The Powder Room (but I haven’t received it yet, and I’m not really sure what it even is…)

c. My dad’s flip-flops with built-in bottle opener

d. Bring your kids to work day.  Actually, it wasn’t really but as Zee’s nanny had arranged a playdate in Hyde Park, I suggested they swing past my office first (and dangled a big fat FREE PARKING carrot in her face) so I could show off the little squirrel monkey to the girls in my office.  They loved him, he had just woken up so was lovely and cuddly… and quiet and well-behaved… he then went off to the park, played in the fountain and ate ice-cream while I sat miserably at my desk fending off another attack of the working mother guilts.

e. A text message from my sister that said: “Brad Pitt is much hotter in the flesh” (but who would want to hear more about that, right?!)

So, there you have it.  I am all blogged out with nowhere to go.  And, my tongue still hurts 🙁

What’s in a SWAG bag?

So, first, what are you doing up at 4:30??? And second, even your writer’s block is hysterical. Colour me jealous! Third, Zachy is ADORABLE. Thanks for sharing him with us! Oh, and last (but not least!) … where did your dad get those flip flops?! I can think of a couple family members that would dig those. 🙂

Haha, couldn’t sleep! The flip-flops are from REEF and you can buy online – just google Reef flip flops with bottle opener… aren’t they fab! My hubby wants a pair too 🙂

Next will be a pair of stilettos with a corkscrew hidden in the heel… how fab would that be!

“Brad Pitt is much hotter in the flesh” – I got this text too, and in shock totally forgot about the international rates, and sent an individual text message for each word. They were as follows:
    SHUT.
    UP.
    GET.
    ME.
    AN.
    AUTOGRAPH.

    Blog is great as ever!

Hello! Sorry it took me so long to respond – your comment ended up in my spam for some reason! Haven’t tried Bourbon but will give red wine a go tonight 😉

Hi, found your blog via the CM link up, loved your fraud post…. and like everyone else I would say, really you are not.
What I learnt from CM is I have no brand and no niche! Love this post because it totally illustrates what blogging is about for me, just putting it out there, what ever it is. It’s your space and that’s all that matters and if other people love it (clearly they do) all the better.
Lovely to find you *makes a notes of blog for RSS feed*

Hello it’s Gemma, thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I love your blog, have visited before and I think maybe saw you in the blogger to blogger inspiration session at CM… anyway, I was so confused after the conference but am starting to find my feet again now. I just want to write and if people like to read it, then that’s even better. I have just subscribed to RSS feed for your blog too. See you over on twitter too, I hope!
